Blocked Drains and Slow Drainage
Blocked drains are something we see often. Whether it’s kitchen sinks, bathroom pipes, or stormwater systems, build-up happens over time. In rural spots around Taupaki, tree roots can get into underground pipes, causing stubborn clogs and messy overflows.
Older pipework may also be prone to shifting or cracking, letting silt and debris collect where they shouldn’t. We use CCTV drain inspections and the right tools to clear blockages and check everything’s flowing as it should.
Low Water Pressure and Supply Issues
We’re regularly called to homes with pressure that just doesn’t cut it. Sometimes it’s older plumbing runs or minor leaks stealing pressure along the way. In some Taupaki properties, bore or tank systems can get blocked or airlocked, affecting water flow to taps or appliances.
Sediment build-up in pipes or faulty valves are also culprits, especially if systems haven’t been serviced in a while. We track down the source and get water running strong again.
Hot Water Cylinder Faults and Temperature Fluctuations
Hot water cylinder problems are a headache we see across all sorts of homes. Sometimes the hot water goes cold halfway through a shower, or the water runs scalding then icy without warning. Old cylinders can develop leaks or stop heating altogether, while newer systems may have faulty thermostats or valves needing replacement.
In a few cases, sediment can build up inside the cylinder, affecting heating elements and water clarity. We inspect the whole hot water setup, from the cylinder through to tempering valves, and sort out any issues to keep your showers consistent and safe.
Septic System Troubles and Odours
Many properties around here run on septic tanks or on-site wastewater systems, so septic issues are something we’re well-versed in. You might notice slow drains, gurgling toilets, or sewage smells in the yard if the tank’s due for maintenance or there’s a blockage in the line.
Cracked pipes, tree roots, or even old baffles can all cause a system to back up or overflow. We diagnose these faults, organise repairs or maintenance, and help keep wastewater running as it should without any unwanted odours.
